Our word counts are showing slightly higher than expected due to the way that the algorithm reads punctuation that is italicised (it reads the punctuation as a separate word, rather than as part of the word before it).

We are looking into a fix for this. Please be aware that when the fix for this goes live, some historical word count data may change slightly as the fix applies retroactively.
