Add images
Under consideration
Sep 11, 2024
Adding images to the writing workspace allows us to service more writers. Placeholder images not only help with inspiration but also help bookmark where final images might go when a book is formatted for publication.
Another possible implementation would be to allow image uploads into notes and tag them into the writing workspace, keeping it distraction-free. We'd love to hear our writers preferences and how it will affect our distraction-free set up.

Being able to add images to notes would be a game changer! Honestly, for me, even being able embed an externally hosted image would be amazing. That way you wouldn't have to allocate a bunch of storage for user image uploads.
I would love this. I have some scenes where there is a lot going on and I would love to add an image so I can visualize and write the narrative better, i.e. a map of a camp where my main character is being held.
Also if I decided I wanted to add an image into my ebook for the reader, I currently cannot do this. thanks
It would be helpful to a wide variety of users to be able to copy/save an image into a notes file. Doesn't seem like a big ask to me--the Notes app, Scrivener, Bear, Word... the ability to paste images is a very common feature. Sometimes research comes in the form of an image you want to save.
I would love images. For maps in fantasy books, for embellishing chapter openings, and absolutely needed for non-fiction like manuals and recipe books.
