Thanks for your suggestion Seren! We wanted to make writing accessible to as many writers as possible, which is why we have all our basic writing features available to everyone, completely free for up to five projects. Everything you need to be able to write is available at absolutely no cost.

We have been very careful in choosing which app features are available in our paid plans. Novlr isn't free to run, which is why we can't offer all of our features completely free. The server space where we save your work and keep it synced, as well as the maintenance and development of current and new features all cost money. The writers who choose to support us by subscribing to our plans for the optional features they offer help us keep Novlr running, allow us to offer our free tier, and keeps our platform accessible to anyone with a desire to write.
