Create a native app that allows for Novlr to be used completely offline.
Another suggestion is to have it as a portable installation file that can be downloaded and installed on a thumb drive.

I would love if I could access novlr on my phone. Because oftentimes I write on lunch breaks and don't have access to a computer. I'd love if I could, even if it's just in planning mode, to upload my notes and then later be able to add it to the manuscript
Gothtaino You can access Novlr on your phone now, as long as you have an internet connection. You just have to open studio.novlr.org in your browser. You can even add an app shortcut to your home screen for quick access to give you the app experience if you want.
Pamela Koehne-Drube every website is accessible via your browser on your phone. That is not the same as having a dedicated application, with a UI that works for your phone
Novlr is a progressive web app (or PWA), meaning it's designed as a web application. It's not an offline app, but it is a fully functioning, moble installable app that uses your browser.
We are investigating the feasability of an offline version of the app, but it will likely not look or function noticeably differently to the current web app version. Novlr is already a fully-functioning app, that can be installed to your home screen. It just requires an online connection to function.

I would love an offline access! In case you want to write on the go, but do not have wifi access.
It could act like google docs in which it saves all work and uploads it upon having a connection. I don't know how that works but that sounds like the simplest way to do it.
Offline for a pc too, I hope.
Is there any update on this possibility? Would love to see this move to the "investigating" slot!
An app would be fantastic. Something compatible across mobile and tablets please!
Please make sure it works across Android and Apple, too! A lot of FANTASTIC writing apps get passed on due to being Apple only...
This would be amazing as an app. I tend to get random ideas and I usually jot it down on my phone. So this would make things a lot easier. Yay for mobile app!
Please do! Novlr is absolutely the perfect writing platform with that one exception - offline doesn’t work well because mobile browsers, specifically, don’t hold data properly. They auto-refresh without you choosing to do anything, and if you’ve been offline for a day or more, it means losing a lot of words. (As I have sadly experienced.) I really hope an app can be developed with the same privacy features and excellent UI!
I LOVE this idea! I use my IPad with a keyboard case for writing most of the time, so having an app would be so helpful.
Love this feature option. We live out in the sticks, and even our Starlink has its good days and its bad. But also, one of my favorite writing times is my annual 3-day retreat to a primitive cabin in a state park. It has electricity, but not much else, and the internet is… unreliable to say the least.
